Simon wants Mariah Carey on X Factor Now

Simon Cowell has not kept it quiet on how much he loves and wants Mariah on the show. Now that season 2 is coming and most of the judges have been cut, Simon couldn't want Mariah even more. 

Now Cowell, 52, is trying again to woo Mariah, 41, who was unable to take part last year having just given birth.

At the time, Cowell said: “I adore Mariah, I love her to bits.”

But his hope she would be able to take some sort of role in the live finals proved to be in vain.

An insider at the show explained: “Simon wants nothing but the best for the X Factor – and Mariah is the best.”

But her husband, Nick Cannon, has already indicated that Mariah will turn down the offer.

Describing it as a “step down”, he added: “Why would my wife want to be on a show like that?

“For somebody who has a legendary career, I don’t know why they would.”

Cowell also admitted he had set the bar too high when he targeted ratings of 20 million for the US show. It managed only 12 million.Time willl tell.

"Rumour Alert" New Producer on Mariah Album?

Its been a busy year already for Mariah as she has her eyes set on making history with her music and gathering all the producers she can and wants for her next album. 

Around the forums and twitter, it has been subtly announced that Dave Hall, will be producing and co writing with Mariah Carey, if anyone does not know who Dave Hall is. he is widely known  for co-writing and co-producing two of Mariah Carey's hits, "Dreamlover" and "Fantasy.

This is only a rumour atm, but an exciting one if so.

On September 17th, Carey performed the song live on Saturday Night Live, alongside "My All". The performance featured the same musicians on set, with the exception of Afanasieff, who was absent

It was released as the second single from the album on December 1, 1997 by Columbia Records. The song was written by Carey and Walter Afanasieff; both of them producing and arranging the song as well. "Butterfly" is a ballad combining elements of pop and gospel genres. Carey had originally conceived it as a house record with David Morales titled "Fly Away (Butterfly Reprise)". After realizing how personal the lyrics were and how they could be applied to Butterfly, she wrote the album's title track with Afanasieff. On the song's lyrics, Carey sings to someone, telling them to spread their wings and release into the world on their own, like a butterfly. Carey described the song as her "favorite and most personal ballad".

A couple of weeks ago there was no word on who was on Mariah Carey's new album or what was going on, but for the last 2 weeks, information has been leaking out of everywhere and Mariah is hard at work.

We all knew yesterday when JD tweeted that Mariah was working her magic in the studio preparing for her 14th album. 


However, a moment ago, we learn that, mr Bryan Michael Cox has joined them as he tweets

and if that wasnt all, he then tweeted that another producer is joining them.

For the people who dont know who Manuel Seal is, he is the producer and writer who worked on Always Be My Baby And We Belong Together.

"We Belong Together" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey from her tenth studio album, The Emancipation of Mimi (2005). The song was released on March 29, 2005, through Island Records as the second single from the album. "We Belong Together" was written by Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Manuel Seal, and Johntá Austin, and produced by the former three. As the song samples lyrics from Bobby Womack's "If You Think You're Lonely Now" (1981) and The Deele's "Two Occasions" (1987), several others are credited as songwriters. Following the release of "It's Like That", the album's lead single, which features a strong beat and production, "We Belong Together" is built on a simple piano arrangement with an understated backbeat. According to Carey, this was done to highlight her vocals, instead of having them obscured by heavy instrumentation. The song's lyrics chronicle a woman's desperation for her former lover to return after their separation and her loneliness following his departure.

Mariah to debut new material in May?

Mariah will close the Mawazine Festival in Rabat, Morocco on May 26th at 10 PM. This will be her first time performing in the country of Morocco. 

Mawazine ("Rhythms") is a festival of world music that began in 2001 and takes place annually, featuring Arab and international music icons. In years past, the festival has featured superstars such as Sting, Shakira, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Kanye West, Kylie Minogue, Joe Cocker, Sugababes, and Elton John. In addition to Mariah, this year's roster includes LMFAO and Scorpions.


In September 2011, Mariah went back to the studio to record a new album. She will premiere one or two of the songs at the time of the concert at closure of the Mawazine festival.

MARIAH Carey may be mom to 8-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, but when it comes to her own mother, she’s not down for any baby mama drama.

On January 12, Carey, whose husband, Nick Cannon, is currently recovering from minor kidney failure, hit up the store of famed jeweler and longtime friend, Joan Boyce. Soon after, some outlets began referring to Boyce’s boutique as “Mariah’s parents’ jewelry store.“

Shutting down those false speculations, both Boyce and Carey took to their twitter accounts to sound off.

“@MariahCarey M, congrats on BET Honors! Did you see they called me your mom again? It’s so silly! You only have one mom and that’s Pat Carey,“ Boyce tweeted at the singer on Friday.

“@joanboycehsn You’d think after she sang the duet with me last year & performed on my ABC Special in front of millions, people would get it!“ the singer responded.

“I was extremely pregnant but here’s a link to our moment together on stage 4 anyone who didn’t see it. That’s my momma!“ Carey added, along with the video of her and her mom singing. (Us weekly)

Mariah Attends Obama Charity Event Looking Stunning

Raising cash for his re-election all over New York City on Thursday night, President Obama told supporters at a $35,800-per-ticket fundraiser at the Manhattan home of director Spike Lee that he's "absolutely confident we're going to win this thing."

Speaking at Mr. Lee's 9,800-square-foot townhouse on the Upper East Side, the president said he "couldn't be more proud" of his record. But he said that, as much as he liked the fundraiser's elegant setting, "we're going to have to hit the streets" to campaign hard.

"We can't take it for granted," Mr. Obama told the audience, which also included singer Mariah Carey. "I will work even harder than I did in 2008."

The president reminded Mr. Lee that his first date with future wife Michelle was to see the filmmaker's movie, "Do the Right Thing."

Mr. Lee quipped, "Good thing you didn't choose 'Driving Miss Daisy.' "

"Driving Miss Daisy" won the Academy Award for best picture for the year that Mr. Lee's film was released. Because it's a happy-ending story of a friendship between an elderly Southern woman and her black chauffeur, the Academy's preference for it over Mr. Lee's film — which was almost totally ignored — has since been the basis of claims of racial insensitivity or indifference by Mr. Lee and some film critics.

The president attended three other fundraisers in New York Thursday night, including one for 1,400 supporters at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.

Billboard "Mariah 2012" Another Winner Best Bet

2012 will bring alot of buzz with mariah carey's new album. 
Billboard has posted on there site that they believe Mariah Carey's album will be a massive hit. 


In September Mariah Carey posted a picture to her Twitter account (@mariahcarey, 5 million-plus followers) hinting that she was back in the studio with Jermaine Dupri. If the song backing her new Jenny Craig commercial is any indication of the direction of the new album, expect another winner from the best-selling artist of the Nielsen SoundScan era.

Nick Cannon Explains "Health Scare"

Nick Cannon is back to work, and spoke about what really happened on his show on 92.3NOW. Nick Cannon spoke about what his wife, “Mariah Carey” called “mild kidney function” on twitter.

"I'm one of those people who have always been this way ... I thought I was healthy," Cannon explained on his radio show Tuesday.

"I was trying to be Superman and I hadn't slept for maybe four days because I was taking care of the kids," he said, adding that everything just snowballed from there.

"Two days before New Year's, I started to feel this horrible pain in my back," he said, and figured he maybe hurt himself while working out.

Mariah Carey called the doctor after she found her husband lying on the floor with severe back pain. At first doctors thought it was kidney stones or an infection.

"They did some more tests ... and -- it took a day or two -- and they were like, 'We think it's a little more serious than a kidney infection. We're going to keep you in the hospital. You need to stay here.'"

They came and told me that my kidneys aren't functioning. Not just one -- not the one that was in pain -- both both of them weren't functioning right," he said, later explaining what happened. "My immune system started to attack my kidneys ... And my kidneys pretty much failed."

Cannon's condition improved and he was sent him home after being transferred to an L.A. hospital. However, he ended up heading back to the hospital after his kidney pain returned.

Now hes is back, saying he is recovered and is going to start 2012 with a bang, like he intended too.

Mariah was honored by Patti La Belle with a rendition of "Hero" leaving Mariah Carey in tears, and Kelly Rowland, performing Fantasy. An amazing night it was, as La Reid inducted her, and her husband, Nick Cannon and Son Moroccan, ending with a final speech, as she graced the stage with her beauty and humble speech.
